After the heat and summer rains the garden starts to respond again as the temperatures moderate. Zinnias which have been planted in August are blooming again, along with sunflowers, celosia, amaranth, and gomphrena. Depending on the heat the dahlias will also start to flower again after their summer hiatus. Colors are yellows, reds, corals, shades of pinks and apricots.
